A STORY OF REAL SALARIES
MalaysianPAYGAP is the first transparency salary platform in Asia

Salary transparency gives everyone a chance to witness their potential
MalaysianPAYGAP began in 2022 with a rebellious spirit to break the taboo around salary discussions. The idea was simple: an Instagram page for people to anonymously share their salaries and stories using a standard format. It went viral in 3 days, more than 100,000 people immediately embraced the call for salary transparency.
In 2024, MalaysianPAYGAP goes online. Welcome to our new digital platform - PAYGAP ASIA.
A salary isn’t just a figure; it’s a story.
We provide the context you need to trust our website.
OUR PRINCIPLES
An empathetic mission
Compensation is an economic token given to workers for their labor, but fair compensation is an empathetic recognition of a worker's dignity and worth, ensuring the reward matches their contribution.Meaningful data starts with individuals
Our focus is on individual stories and salaries, not just median figures. We aim to provide a platform with warm, unskewed data—unique insights from each person's career journey, rather than merely presenting statistical averages. By focusing on individual data, we allow people to reference salary and career goals they aspire to achieve.Everyone deserves to know their potential
Don’t sulk if you find out you’re underpaid; knowing your worth means understanding the value your employer places on you, but knowing your potential is about seeing and pursuing your future growth and possibilities. Only you can reach that potential.

My assessment got approved by MQA and I’m now eligible to get a degree from IPTA
Thanks to your page, you opened my eyes to explore more and came across this APEL organization appointed by the government. I used my work experience to earn a degree. My assessment got approved by MQA and I’m now eligible to get a degree from IPTA (which I will be paying cheaper).
