Liberty General Insurance Berhad is a Malaysian general insurance company headquartered in Kuala Lumpur. It provides personal and commercial insurance products including motor, motorcycle, travel, home, personal accident, health and business coverage, supported by branches, agents, partners and repair networks across Malaysia. The company is a member of the Liberty Mutual Group, a United States-based multinational insurance group. It operates three principal retail brands in Malaysia—Liberty Insurance, Kurnia Insurans and AmAssurance—and reports more than three million policies. The company was formerly known as AmGeneral Insurance Berhad and adopted its current name following Liberty Mutual’s acquisition and subsequent business integration.
