Employees Provident Fund (EPF)

The Employees Provident Fund Board, commonly known as EPF Malaysia or Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP), is Malaysia’s statutory retirement savings and social security organisation. Established in 1951, it administers mandatory defined-contribution retirement savings for private-sector and non-pensionable employees, safeguards members’ savings, provides retirement-related services, and invests fund assets to generate long-term returns. The organisation operates under Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance and serves members and employers nationwide through its headquarters, regional structure, branches, digital platforms, and advisory services. Its activities combine public-sector social protection responsibilities with financial services, investment management, retirement planning, and support for Malaysia’s broader economic development.
